Path to
the Stage
The soprano Maite Ezpeleta, born in Navarre, studied business administration and management at the Public University of Navarre. At the same time, she began studying operatic singing at the Pablo Sarasate Professional Conservatory. Attracted by the opera singer Heidi Wöllnerhansen’s, she decided to go and study in Switzerland with her. In the year 2021, to further enhance, she began her studies of artistic singing pedagogy at Dr. Hoch’s Konservatorium in Frankfurt with professors Yoo-Chang Nah and Gabriele Zimmermann.
During the years of studies she has taken several master classes with different teachers and opera singers, such as Bernd Valentin, Derrick Ballard and Michael Porter, among others. She has participated in several concerts and projects, both classical and modern music.
In 2025 she received the Richard-Wagner-Stipendium scholarship and is currently a member of the extra choir of the Frankfurt Opera.
